Se você for a um, me avisa, please?

Leaving on a jet plane
John Denver (no video, com Cass Elliot, do Mamas and the Papas)

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

I'm ...

There's so many times I've let you down
So many times I've played around
I'll tell you now, they don't mean a thing

Every place I go, I think of you
Every song I sing, I sing for you
When I come back I'll wear your wedding ring

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

Now the time has come to leave you
One more time, oh, let me kiss you
And close your eyes and I'll be on my way

Dream about the days to come
When I won't have to leave alone
About the times that I won't have to say ...

Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

And I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

But I'm leaving on a jet plane

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj66XgK3NvE

BE GOOD OR BE GONE
If you happen to read this,
Rose was born.
Child actor-ess,
On the fifth day of the snow.

Be good or be gone,
Be good or be, be gone.

The range is stangering,
Movement and timing.
Frame by frame,
It did unfold.

Be good or be gone,
Be good or be, be gone.

I read to you on saturdays,
Museum has closed down.
Sell all your things,
At the end of the drive.

Be good or be gone,
Be good or be, be gone.

I have become,
An ariel view.
Of a coastal town,
That you once knew.

Be good or be gone,
Be good or be, be goneAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4419595351244243843.post-32371131430162589102009-07-14T06:39:00.000-07:002009-07-14T12:59:33.668-07:00Reviravoltas - 2Minha segunda recomendação: presta atenção que é importante. Escute o novo CD do Iggy Pop, "Préliminaires".

Enfim, me choquei, Iggy!

Just because I´m losing, doesn´t mean I´m lost. Just because I´m hurting, doesn´t mean I´m hurt"), Life in technicolor, 42, enfim...
Agora eu sei.
A final ficou entre Seven Nation Army e Maps.
Em quem você votaria?

Pack up
I'm a stray
enough
Oh say say say you'll
Say say say you'll
Say say say you'll
Say say say you'll
Say say say..

Wait.
They don't love you like I love you
Wait.
They don't love you like I love you
Maps...........
Wait.
They don't love you like I love you

Made off
Don't stray
Well my kinds
Your kind
I'll stay the same

Pack up
But don't stray
Oh say say say
I'll say say say..

Wait.
They don't love you like I love you
Wait.
They don't love you like I love you
Maps...........
Wait.
They don't love you like I love you
Wait.
They don't love you like I love you
Maps...........
Wait.
they don't love you like I love you

Wait.
They don't love you like I love you
Wait.
They don't love you like I love you
Maps...........
Wait.
They don't love you like I love you
Wait.
They don't love you like I love you
Maps...........
Wait.
they don't love you like I love you

;)
Dei sorte.
O CD "The Age Of The Understatement", o primeiro do The Last Shadow Puppets, é todo muito bom.
The Last Shadow Puppets é formado por Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) e por Miles Kane (The Rascals).
A minha música favorita, por enquanto, é "Standing next to me":

You want to have her
Two years have gone now
But I can't relate to the never ending games that you play
As desire passes through and you're open to the truth
I hope you understand
And your love is standing next to me
Is standing next to me

The one you fell for
But it's seemed you deny
And you laugh at yourself again and again
But as you drink to the thoughts she'll remember you
maybe tomorrow

And your love is standing next to me
Is standing next to me
And your love is standing next to me
Is standing next to me, is standing next to me.
Is standing next to me

You want to have her
Two years have gone now
But I can't relate to the never ending games that you play
As desire passes through, then you're open to the truth
I hope you understand

And your love is standing next to me, is standing next to me
Is standing next to me, is standing next to meIlishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05455722308082480222noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4419595351244243843.post-5662823455246433472009-04-12T20:02:00.000-07:002009-04-12T20:11:24.289-07:00Glauco e Alineimagine a cena:

If I was young, I'd flee this town
I'd bury my dreams underground
As did I, we drink to die, we drink tonight

Far from home, elephant gun
Let's take them down one by one
We'll lay it down, it's not been found, it's not around

Let the seasons begin - it rolls right on
Let the seasons begin - take the big king down

Let the seasons begin - it rolls right on
Let the seasons begin - take the big king down

And it rips through the silence of our camp at night
And it rips through the night

And it rips through the silence of our camp at night
And it rips through the silence, all that is left is all that i hideIlishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05455722308082480222noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4419595351244243843.post-9687391024176778892009-01-23T07:22:00.000-08:002009-01-23T08:15:17.405-08:00Encontros e Desencontros.

I think it's time, we give it up
And figure out what's stopping us
From breathing easy, and talking straight
The way is clear if you're ready now
The volunteer is slowing down
And taking time to save himself

The little cracks they escalated
And before you know it is too late
For making circles and telling lies

You're moving too fast for me
And I can't keep up with you
Maybe if you slowed down for me
I could see you're only telling
Lies, lies, lies
Breaking us down with your
Lies, lies, lies
When will you learn

The little cracks they escalated
And before you know it is too late
For making circles and telling lies

You're moving too fast for me
And I can't keep up with you
Maybe if you'd slowed down for me
I could see you're only telling
Lies, lies, lies
Breaking us down with your
Lies, lies, lies
When will you learn

So plant the thought and watch it grow
Wind it up and let it go
______________________________________________

Segunda: "Falling Slowly"
É a principal música do filme. Nunca tinha ouvido falar dele.

The Ballad of the Broken Seas".

PS. Que marionetes lindas, hem?

(DO YOU WANNA) COME WALK WITH ME
Little girl have I told you
how you light up my life
come and lay down beside me
come and thrill me tonight
do you wanna?

I'm not saying I love you
I won't say I'll be true
there's a crimson bird flying
when I go down on you

I'm so weary and lonesome
and it's cold in the night
when the path to your doorway
is a pathway of light

do you wanna come walk with me?
do you wanna come walk with me?
if you do baby say it now
though we'll both wonder anyhow

do you wanna come walk with me?
do you wanna come walk with me?
do you wanna?

little girl have I told you
you're my guiding north star
and my love travels with you
wherever you are

from the mountains to the valley
leave the light on for me
from Virginia to Alaska
from sea to shining sea

do you wanna come walk with me?
do you wanna come walk with me?
if you do baby say it now
though we'll both wonder anyhow

do you wanna come walk with me?
do you wanna come walk with me?
do you wanna?

You can try to run the planet
Or watch it on the news
Somebody's getting shot
The weathermans looking confused
He's reporting to a nation full of zombies
Strung out on Starbucks and bitching Abercrombie
Don't get it mized up, me too I have insomni-a, at times but dont be walking around here blind, feeling all around trying to find a righteous path.
Its a peelin when I rhyme so everytime I Hit the Bassist.
You Know the commonfolk, blue collar, day to day workers that squeeze a dollar, so maybe they can swallow, a little, not a lot, just enough to fill that bottle
But its a million dollars a gallon for gas to get to work tomorrow.
Thats if you gotta get it, cant swim and carpool, you rob peter to pay paul to make due, make you wanna write a note and take a pistol to that bank too, then pass it on the teller
But you know better

(Chorus-Mary J Blige)
They try to tell us to stay strong, but every day we losing jobs, from College Park down to Beverly Hills, Somethings Gonna Have to Give
Across the world they live in fear but its the same thing over here.
If you can hear me on Capitol Hill, Somethings gonna have to give.

(Verse 2)
The great debaters debate about whos the greatest MC's, subject matter dont matter because the verse is empty.
No food for thought, nothing for the brain to digest, so I guess it be about who can jive talk the best, but I give them light like the traffic I direct, aspiring they life like they was actors on my set as if I was a politic, Im higher than a tent, I'd be a liar if I wasn't sick and tired of this mess.

(Chorus)

(Mary J Blige verse)
Single mother in the swallows and its no fun, but you dont really understand until you are one, a childs sick and hes losing his endurance, she wanna fix him but she aint got no insurance.
Now we don't even wanna talk about the man's bite
Out on parole with the promise that he'll do right, but a felon has no chance for a new start, so its back to doing hand to hand on his own life, and blacknights were all the same, and I know you feel my pain, and the only hope I have that help me deal with the drama, is that maybe in November
I'll be cheering for Obama.

(Chorus)

(Deep Voice)
The world is too big

(Big Boi)
Free ya mind or be stuck like porcupine, left behind thats the bottom line, gotta find that grind because the time won't come back around, get it now!

(Deep Voice)
The World is too big

(Big Boi)
Step on the stars, while your reaching for the sun, but never burn a bridge, each one teach one
If you lend a helping hand, you may never need one

(Deep Voice)
The World is too big

(Mary J Blige-last verse of song)
And I heard him say that every man, women, child was gonna be ok
I heard him say that they would bring home our soldiers home in one piece today, hey!

(Deep Voice)
The World is too big
(back to Mary J Blige)
But its not that way
They been tellin us a dream
Tellin us were on the same team
Now We all gotta deal with the lies.Ilishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05455722308082480222noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4419595351244243843.post-2500777769496986182008-10-08T20:24:00.000-07:002008-10-08T21:03:52.438-07:00de repente california

Eu adoro O.C.

With the cops on your lips it's a holy routine
If you'd stop all your trips you could see what I mean
I forgot not to slip 'bout you're under 18
You had it in your hands

Leave it up to me
It's a known disease
Keep it in your fleece
Don't worry about the custom police, don't
I'll tell you just how good it can be, this lazy summer

But you got no relief from the pain in your head
And it's hollow and greased and it says that you're dead
But you make fun and tease and the things that you said
They always stab your back
And I've been holding out for love ever since I had a heartIlishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05455722308082480222noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4419595351244243843.post-19885476828870044232008-09-27T12:27:00.000-07:002008-09-27T12:40:14.204-07:00Mamma mia!

Achei a moça no Guardian (recomendo novamente: o "New band of the day" é ótimo.
